Read equipment and labour warranties separately
Coverage belongs to a specific document and provider.
Identify each promise
Record the manufacturer warranty, the installer labour warranty and any separately sold plan. Ask for their documents before accepting a claim about years of protection. A brand name or a broad site statement is not the warranty for your model.
Read conditions and exclusions
Ask who registers the equipment, what proof of installation is required, whether coverage transfers and how a claim is made. Confirm exclusions, deductible or callout charges and required maintenance with the responsible provider.
Keep a usable handover
Save the model and serial identifiers, invoice, registration confirmation and installer contact in your own records. Ask the contractor to distinguish equipment defects from installation issues. This planning portal does not sell a warranty or promise a coverage term.
