HAUSE / WATER + HOME
Scope an electrical or fuel conversion
A replacement can become a coordinated project across trades.
Describe the change
Record the current fuel and the proposed type. Add the exact equipment model if available and any existing documentation. Keep capacity, connection details and supply adequacy as questions for the qualified professionals rather than homeowner conclusions.
Compare the trade boundaries
Ask who assesses the electrical supply, any required circuit or panel work, the current gas connection, venting and removal. Confirm which items belong to which licensed trade and whether separate permits or utility coordination apply at the address.
Avoid a partial quotation
Compare a complete conversion scope with a like-for-like replacement scope. Record exclusions, contingencies and completion responsibilities. A cheaper equipment line does not establish a cheaper completed project when supply work or restoration is missing.
